Black Pre-Health at Yale

We are a student organization dedicated to inaugurating an empowering, educational, and preparatory environment for students across the African diaspora interested in pursuing a health-related profession.

Despite the advancement of technology and medicine, there remain heavily prevalent racial health disparities in the United States. While there are a multitude of factors that influence these health disparities, such as socioeconomic status and workplace hazards, improper and racist medical practices worsen the disparity statistics for the black community. Read the report below to view some of these statistics that perpetuate the narrative for unfair healthcare practices in the United States.
